- Give me a call, and I’ll do my best to answer your IT related questions or point you in the right direction. If you still need my help, we can discuss which IT services would be best for your situation.
$15 per call related to a single subject or question for up to 2 hours. If more discussion is warranted, we can discuss additional services and/or IT Consulting rates.
New Computer or Device Setup
Do you have a new computer, smartphone, or tablet and feel like there is more to it than just turning it on? You’re right! I'll help optimize your device and get it running the way you want.

- Brand new computer or mobile device setup including transfer of files from a previous device if it's available.
Price is for the first two hours, and then $25 for each additional hour.
Computer or Mobile Device Troubleshooting
Before you toss it in the trash or at your wall, give me call. I'll do my best to figure out the problem and correct it myself - or support you on calls with the vendor - if the device isn't too old. If nothing else, I'll get it ready for recycling.

- Figure out why device or apps are crashing.
- Track down other issues and fix them.
- Help you on calls with the vendor if necessary.
- Or just wipe it clean of any personal data and recycle.

Software Install and Troubleshooting
Do you have some new software you want to install or you're having problems with existing software? I can help. If I ultimately can't fix your software, I'll help you speak with the vendor to figure out a final solution.

Virus removal, Security check, Backups
Your computer or device doing something funky? I'll find any "nasty bugs" and squash them. I'll also check your settings and give you some security tips to help keep it from happening again.

- Scan for any related issues.
- Assess your security preparedness and suggest changes/provide education to prevent future issues.
- General security check for other re-configurations and/or additional advice.
- Help establish periodic automatic system or data backups, including testing backups.

Printers
Have a new or old printer causing you problems? I’ll do my best to get it printing beautiful documents and pictures – before you take a baseball bat to it – a la “Office Space”

- Assess why your printer won’t print to determine whether it's the printer’s or your device’s fault.
- If parts need ordering, I'll make sure you know what to get and help you speak with the vendor.

Home Network Setup or Troubleshooting
Have a new wifi system or upgrading an old one? I’ll get you up and running. Having other network issues? I’ll do what I can to get you back into action.

- Includes setup of Internet Service provided equipment, such as those from Xfinity, AT&T, or other providers.
- Help get other home devices connected to the network.
- Configuring network security (changing the default credentials); placement of equipment; and any network troubleshooting.
- If vendor support is required, I will assist with those discussions.
Price is for the first two hours, and then $20 for each additional hour.
*For more complex, larger networks like those for bigger businesses which may require router, firewall, switches, and access point configuration, $65 per hour up to 2 hours and then $30 per additional hour.
Connecting Other Devices or Troubleshooting
Do you have a new "toy" or security device you want to connect to your home network, or are you just trying to get your music to play through your smart speaker? Whatever it is, I'll get it hooked up, figure out why nothing is happening, and have you enjoying your new tech.
